The higher purpose of Yang Tsin Su is gifting people the tools to develop a strong body, and good character, to live a happy and healthy life. These tools are packaged through Martial Arts for adults and children, Self Defence, Tai Chi & Weapons training. All of these practices are based around the concept that : “Good health is the harmony of body, energy & mind (spirit)” (reference ‘Unification of Western Medicine & Traditional Chinese Medicine’). The body must be strong and flexible within healthy proportions, the body’s energy should flow freely, be abundant and in balance. The mind should be calm and focused with a strong fighting spirit to face life’s challenges. If either the mind, body or energy are out of balance, they will affect the other two.

A simpler explanation of Yang Tsin Su doctrine would be to state that you can never to be too strong or too wise, To constantly improve is your life ambition. In Yang Tsin Su classes, you will not encounter competitiveness between students, ego, or bravado. Yang Tsin Su literally translates as: “the self art of cultivating the genuine”. ‘Self’ means to work on bettering oneself, Cultivating the Genuine means to develop only things that truly benefit your progression in life.
